A guestbook or fishbowl or anything like that? They always seem to put them in a corner somewhere..and nobody finds it. I'm thinking of skipping it...advice?

Cool...thanks ladies. I don't think I ever signed one at any wedding I went to!
No offense to anyone who is doing them...but it's just one less thing for me to worry about

we did the signature platter thing and love it..!!!
i did one and it was going around the room and stopped at one table and was forgot about. if i did it over i wouldnt do it again its a waste i spent like 80 dollars between the pen and the book. i would spend i ton something else lol

i had sheets of paper with spaces for 'how do you know the bride/groom, special wishes, favorite memories and advice for the newlyweds' and i have to say, they were easy to do and i loved reading them (i just read through them again the other day)! The only thing was that i didn't have a space for them to write who it was from, so some are still a mystery to us, but they are funny and touching!

im going to do that... then whoever fills them out, I can scrap book them, and wont have the extra space that a regular guest book would have

We are doing a wedding quilt vs the fishbowl/book...I got the idea from hearing about Jessica Simpson doing it. We are sending pieces of a quilt/fabric , etc with our invites and asking them to be mailed back decorated...anyway wanted..with the rsvp's...then my Aunt who sews is going to sew them together and we are buying a cheap frame and hanging it right inside the reception hall....
