I was thinking of doing a picture card thing, where everyone signs a huge picture on an easel.. But i have not gotten it yet, and with 7 days to go chances are i probably won't. I don't think it is a big deal. I have never seen one before.

Whats the fish bowl all about? I think I would want a guest book because Im having a lot of people coming from out of the country come just for my wedding. I want to cherich the little notes they leave me since I dont know when I'll see them again.

We did the sign in platter, and I love it. It is displayed over our fireplace, and I am so glad I did it. We got the heart shaped one, it was not that expensive-but its small. We had 150 guests and a few people didnt sign it. Its cute, when friends/family come over and they see that they didnt sign it, they want to do it now
We also did the wishbowl-basically I put a sign up that had a poem about giving the newlyweds advice on a long happy marriage or something, and paper for them to write it on. I made all the papers myself and got the glass vase from Odd Job for $5 to put the wihes in They were nice, but I have the wishes people wrote us all tied together w. ribbon-I am thinking of making a wedding scrapbook and using them, if not I have no idea what to do w. them. They were fun to read, but not a necessity.
Almost everyone signed the platter, not even half wrote out actual wishes.

I'm doing a signature mat. I think it'll be so cool to have that up in our living room instead of a book which will be put to the side somewhere.
The wish bowl is a really cute idea- you ask people to write wishes for you and put them into a bowl. You provide little pencils and small squares of paper. Afterwards, you make a scrapbook of them. Works best with creative guests.

Probably not doing it. I think it would get overlooked and no one would sign it.

We didn't do it. My mom had a good suggestion if you want to keep a record of who attended your wedding though. After the wedding, if you want to put together an informal book yourself you can include the guest's names and what they gave as a gift, or any other details you want. You can have it for a keepsake or to help you organize your thank you cards. Just a thought.
