Anyone NOT doing a guestbook?

FH just said that he doesn't think we will ever read it and it's a waste of money. (Like $30 is going to put us over the edge!! )

So I was wondering if anyone is not doing one. It never crossed my mind not to do it, but maybe it isn't necessary?

We are buying a huge pot from one of those craft stores that you can decorate. We will use that as our guestbook, and after have it fired.

If people sign it, great, if they don't - we have a nice pot!

we did a signing frame & a wish bowl instead. I did not get a good response for the wish bowl, but the signing frame went over pretty well.

I am having a wine tasting journal available, for people to sign in the 'notes' section...this way we will actually use it for something useful. And it is in keeping with the wine theme.

I'm not doing a guestbook either! I agree with what others said about people giving their wishes in cards. So we'll skip the guestbook!!!

I'm not doing one. We don't think it's necessary and we will never read it! Just another thing lying around the house collecting dust!

Technically, Im not doing one. I agree with your FH. I cant see myself perusing through this book. But I am purchasing the sign in frame from pottery barn. For the reception we will be placing one of our engagement pictures in the frame and have everyone sign in. Later, we will be replacing the pic with a wedding picture.
