Anyone NOT doing a guestbook?

just wondering because the last 3 weddings I went to they didnt have them.

I didn't. I don't see the point in them. People are already giving you cards.

I am- BUT I wouldnt think twice if someone didnt have one... sometimes all those small things get overlooked by guests... unless someone is there reminding people to SIGN the guestbook

We didn't. I really didn't see the point and knew that most people wouldn't sign it.

I'm not having a guest book, but I am having a sign in board with our engagement picture in the middle..

I am not either,I may do a wish jar if people want to write well wishes to us but honestly, most people don't sign those things and they definately don't even notice they are even there!

I am doing the polaroid guest book, so it will be more of a memento than just a book with a bunch of signatures. My DOC and her assistant will take the pics and be 'in charge' of it during the CH.

We're not b/c I think it would just be a lot of 'congratulations'. If people just signed, I don't see the point...what are you really going to do with the book except put it away somewhere?

I'm not having one. The last few weddings I went to the guests didn't even know it was there until someone pointed it out.

I want to do the polaroid guestbook too! I have a DOC and will put her in charge of it. I think it would be nice to have a pic of every couple at the wedding, with a little note from them too!

I am doing one because I received one as a gift. If no one writes in it, I may use it as a mini-scrapbook for invitations, etc. following the wedding.

not me..i like when the camera man goes around and asks each person to say somthing instead..sometimes they can be really funny.

We didn't. They had one at my shower, but all people did was sign their names. My BMs were disappointed in the outcome.

I didn't for a few reasons. First, it was one more thing to keep track of on the day of the wedding and I couldn't really be bothered. I didn't think people would sign and didn't want to ask a guest to stand there and ask people to sign it - I figured they would just sign their name, and we got cards from almost everyone who came with greetings and well wishes.

We only had 100 guests at the wedding and I do remember seeing who was there and who wasn't and I got table photos to remind me of all who were present.

We had 2 picture frame signin things at our engagement party. So for the wedding we are doing a wishbowl. But I might turn it into an 'advice' bowl or something to that effect.
