Anyone NOT doing table cameras?

Anyone NOT doing table cameras?

FH doesn't want to do table cameras. He says it is just going to be a ton of dumb pictures. Plus everyone brings their own cameras and will give us copies, and that is why we hired a photographer.

What do you think? Are there any of you who are not doing the table cameras? I think it is a big expense. Especially developing them.

We are doing cameras on the tabel either. I know that there are alot of my guests who will be bringing their own cameras and I know a few guests who would not use the cameras from the table but bring it home and use it for their own use. So we decided not to waste money on these things.

We are not going to do table cameras either. Like you said it will be more of an expence and more than 1/2 the pix dont come out anyway.

We are not doing table camera's. At a few of the weddings I have been to, I have known for guest to actually take the camera home for themself. So I find it a big waste of money. Friends and family will have thier own cameras and I am for certain they will share their doubles with us.

I did not do them.. when I am at a wedding I just want to enjoy myself- i don't want to be taking pictures or participating in a photo scavenger hunt- I want to be dancing with my DH and talking with friends, etc.

I really think it's a waste of money- I don't miss them at all- and PLENTY of people gave us the pictures they took.. on top of the GOBS of proofs we got from photographer- believe me it was enough.

Plus I think the table cameras look tacky on the table. I worked too hard for everything to be elegant to have some cardboard camera on the table.

I'm not doing them. First off people do bring their own cameras. Plus half the time the cameras get lost. And you're paying for all these pictures and most of them will be ones you don't want anyway.

I know half my guests will either lose them or take them home not realizing they're for US or take stupid pictures and I'm not about to waste any money. I'll ask people for doubles and I'll reimburse them.

I agree with decbride04. we are not having it. I also found that guests waste the pics, taking shots of nothing of interest or nasty shots, like someon's butt.

We are not doing the table cameras either. My friends who did this were not pleased with the pictures. Some of them were of silly things - plates, table #'s etc and also they didn't receive all of them back. There are a few members of our families that have digital cameras so we can always get pictures from them.

I did use them...and I just wanted to tell you some of the benefits..

1. you get pics right away
2. not many people gave us pics from their camera
3. you see the wedding from a different perspective...the guests...while the photographer took tons of pics of me and DH and BP...we didn't have pictures of a lot of the guests...and thank goodness for the table cameras...

the way I see it...it cost us about $170 total for them...and I would have hated to regret the decision to save that little in the realm of wedding planning

I have to find the post, I think Elizabeth wrote to me...that changed my decision...
