Re: Anyone NOT get a videographer?
Thanks. Such a hard decision.
Thanks. Such a hard decision.
well after many reasons why i didn't get a videographer in some ways i regret it. i had my uncle tape the ceremony on our videocamera and it came out great but i don't have my first dance, my dedication speech to my mother, my husbands brothers' speeches or my dance with my dad so in all i actually regret not doing it..i would definitely have sat down with someone to let them know that these are the only things i want on the video if i could go back and do it over!!
We didn't want one, but a few people talked us into it and we are so glad they did! There was so much we missed or forgot about. You just have to tell them ahead of time that you don't want them in your face and you don't want the bright lights. I would at least have a friend video tape it. You won't regret it!
We weren't going to get one, but then my mom said she wanted us too. At first I was annoyed, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that as beautiful as photos can be, they can't capture the day in the same way video can. We told all the videographers we saw that we didn't want the interviews, for them to be in everyones's face with the light everywhere.. We were told that big bright light is really something of the past, the new digital cameras don't need those lights. And they will be totally unobtrusive. I am really happy we booked it.
