Just asking b/c it was recently brought up for us to postpone a honeymoon so we can focus our $ on the wedding... THoughts??

We are booking our honeymoon in 2011.
FH's work schedule won't allow him to take off an entire week from work in late October or November. December is too busy w/ holidays (and air fares to the Caribbean are insanely high)..so we plan on taking our HM sometime in January or February 2011..

My sister waited a whole year to go on their honeymoon.. i guess technically it was more of a 1st anniversary vacation than a honeymoon!

We are getting married Oct 30th and going to St. Lucia Jan 8th-15th bc it just doesn't work with FH's school schedule.

we had just discussed this again last night and we are going to wait on the HM. We'll be getting married in May and taking our HM in Nov (mostly like the week after Thanksgiving).
We are mostly likely going on a cruise with our whole family right after the wedding so that will be like our 'mini-moon'.

We won't be going on a honeymoon till some time late next year. We will probably just go to the Pocono's or Niagra Falls for a couple of days after the weddding.

We also did a honeymoon registry through Liberty Travel so we people can give us money towards it.

We cancelled our honeymoon to focus on the wedding. We hope to go in the summer.

We work in schools so we'll be taking ours in July. After our May 1 wedding, we'll be heading into the city for 2 nights for a minimoon. I'm glad in the end because I couldn't imagine planning a wedding plus packing for a trip right away!

FH and I plan on going on a mini moon for about 3 nights. We are looking to go on our actually honeymoon 4 months later. It will help us save a bit more and concentrate on our other expenses.

We're spending our wedding night in a hotel, but have to go back to work 2 days later, so we'll probably wait a couple of months and do a ski trip.

we are taking ours in the summer. i'm a teacher, getting married in march, and it was too expensive to go anywhere during easter break. this way, it also gives us more time to save $ and do what we want.
