Anyone not having a guest book?

Anyone not having a guest book?

I'm thinking about not having a guestbook because I feel like people are not going to sign it. There are some neat keepsake ideas out there like a plate, but there would never be enough room for everyone even if they did sign it. I dont recall seeing guest books at any of the weddings i've ever been to.

i'm not having a guest book ...

have you considered something like a wish box or wish tree? those are cool, but can get pricey. there are also other guest book alternatives - i just can't think of them now.

anyway, totally optional

def not. I'm not a clutter person and I feel like a guest book would just collect dust and be an annoyance. Plus, most ppl don't sign it lol

I didn't even think of one until I read your post, so I don't think we will be having one.

It's something I would normally like to do (I'm crafty) but frankly it's an added expense for something I bet a lot of people won't sign, and then it's another thing to sit around my apartment (which is too cluttered to begin with).

We had everyone autograph a guitar instead.

We have guitars all over the house anyway, so it fits in nicely in the living room

Re: Anyone not having a guest book?

I have been to a ton of weddings in the past three years and don't remember ever seeing a guest book to sign.

Either most people don't have them or I'm very unobservant!

I'm skipping it. Just another thing to collect dust afterwards. Can't take it anymore.

When my mom heard guestbook for a wedding, she was like, when did that start? So, I'm gonna go with no one ever does them.

We thought of doing this Wedding Guest Book

It's a little different.

But now I am also thinking maybe not after reading all the responses. Dunno, maybe have one for the shower instead wedding.

Im not having one. People will write their wishes in their cards plus I agree with the girls above, just another thing to dust.

I'm not... there was one at my shower and it went to waste. Everyone just signed their names.

I dont think that we are going to have one either. FMIL put one out at our engagement party, I didnt even realize it. Not too many people signed it.

We had a friend who did a photo frame collage of them and friends, and everyone signed the white border around it. They have it displayed in their hallway and whenever people go over they always search for their message. i think thats something we're going to end up doing rather than a book.
