I'm not - this is really not something that we're accustomed to and I really don't see that point of my parents or us for that matter blowing extra $ -- and escpecially since we're having an after party at my parents hosue the day after.
I mean after the rehearsal at church - I think we're going to go to my moms to hang out but nothing too crazy....
Just wanted to see if Im the only one.

Re: anyone not having a Rehearsal Dinner?
No you are not the only one. I am not even having a rehearsal. The hall will tell me what to do right before I walk down the aisle. I couldn't see spending the extra money either.

Re: anyone not having a Rehearsal Dinner?
We are getting married at the RH, but FH & I wanted a dinner to give the bridal party and our parents their gifts. Plus, normally the Grooms Famiy pays for the Rehearsal Dinner, and I thought we should have one just so that they paid for something!!!

you can do it at your house, theres no rule it has to be at a restaurant. We have a big bp so that would be too many people for us in the house. Do what is best for you

Re: anyone not having a Rehearsal Dinner?
Im in a similar boat. I dont know what to do, I want the rehearsal but my whole bridal party lives OOT including my parents and my Uncle, who is marrying us. I want everything to go perfect, so I might ask our RH if we can do a quick run through that Thurs. anyway. Then maybe hit a bar. haha

Re: anyone not having a Rehearsal Dinner?
our officiant said that she usually does a dry run at the RH the day of the wedding......
we really dont want to do that.....we want to have a real rehearsal just as if it were in church and we want to go out afterwards......we think it would be fun and we dont want to miss out on it just b/c we arent getting married in church
i just dont know if JT allows rehearsal there.....we might have to rehearse somewhere else

FH and I will be paying for whatever we decide to have so we're thinking of just having drinks at my uncles bar.
no one needs to eat right? hahaha

Re: anyone not having a Rehearsal Dinner?
No rehearsal for us.... We are getting married at the RH so there is no need for it... Whoever stays at the hotel with us the night before, we will treat to dinner.... Otherwise... NOPE!

i'm not having one either. My rehearsal at the church will be night time around 9/10pm possibly the friday night before the wedding! so after that , i'm decorating then going straight to the hotel. No need to spend more $$$.
