What are your thoughts on this? Everyone I know whose gotten married says it was a waste and that they rather watch the 'home' videos because its more intimate and personal...

Re: Anyone NOT having a videographer?
I had a friend who did not get one and she said it was the biggest regret. She hates herself in pictures/videos so she said it was a waste. Then when she saw a video that a family friend had taken (she asked him if he would mind taping here and there) she completely regrets not paying someone to do it the right way. Just wanted to pass this along with everyone, b/c she made it very clear to me.

I don't want one, but FH does, so I am giving in since he brings home most of the bacon!

I'm not having one - a friend offered to take home movies - I'm okay with that. We splurged on the photographer and got a photojournalist!

Re: Anyone NOT having a videographer?
I definitely wanted one, because I just want the memories. I'm not photogenic at all, so even though I have a great photographer, I'm truly scared about how my pics are going to come out. I look much better in person, and I want to remember this day and see myself how I REALLY looked, not frozen and panicked looking.
