I think I finally found 'the dress' except it's nothing like what I visualized. I ABSOLUTELY love this dress but I LOVE it in Ivory![]()
I tried it on in white and it didin't feel like the Ivory one. I NEVER pictured myself in anything but white but the white dresses were making me look pale and sickly as opposed to the Ivory which kind of made me glow. My mother and sister loved the Ivory but I just wanted more opinions? What should I do?? Thanks!!!!!!

I have an ivory dress. It is my favorite color. I am wearing ivory today. I DONOT like the color white.
Ivory looks so much better on me and it goes better with my complexion.

My dress is ivory with blue beads on it. I was having the same doubt as you. Wedding dresses should be white right??? Nah. Its your wedding day. If you wanted to wear purple it should be fine as long as you feel beautiful.

My dress is ivory, I almost went a step above ivory and got candlelight. In the end, I was afraid that the candlelight would look too gold in the sunlight. Seems like a majority of the samples in the store were ivory anyway, you couldn't even tell with some of them them unless you put it against a white dress. Ivory is definitely more complimentary to most skin tones.

Well..red, red and white, but the main gown for the ceremony I really like is ivory. I'm with you curly I never really expected that but, when I put it on I fell in love with it. ![]()

Mine is in Ivory too....
I have fair skin, Blonde Hair and green eyes, and the white just washed me out....

Curly - my dress is 'pearl' which looks like diamond white. I had the same problem with my dress - I always wanted a white strapless gown and I got a Pearl halter! You never know until you put it on!!

Go with what you want! My dream dress that I have been posting about was sampled in Ivory. everyone loved it and i never dreamed about getting an ivory dress--it's actually that candlelite white which looks white in pics like NIECEY said--I am going to see the sample in white on Friday because I'm not sure which I like better. If you love it-GET IT!! GOOD LUCK! ![]()

I ended up with Ivory too, I just thought it was a richer feel and elegant for the evening. Get the dress that makes you feel right.

My dress is white and silver. I was originally going to get ivory and burgundy. I am sure you look beautiful on you no matter what color!

Mine is Champagne with copper/rose-gold and pearl beading. They don't even hang it with the bridal gowns b/c it's such an obvious color. ![]()

I have the same problem with white..my dress, if I ever find it will be ivory, otherwise I will look like one sick bride...nice and paste white.

it looks white to me.
i never wear white.. i am a typical black-wearing manhattanite- so anything that reflects light looks white to me.
if you love it,... go w/ it.

Definitely go with the ivory. You should wear whatever looks best. I haven't bought my dress yet, but when I do I plan to get it in ivory.
