i dont think its that important to do it.. its just a personal preference.. no one will miss it if you don't have one. I Think we are gonna do a wish jar, or something like that. then I can take the little wish papers and add them to my scrapbook pages later on because i love to scrapbook. If we do decide on an actual guest book it would mostly likely be the photo one as well!!! I think people would have fun with that!!! :)

Honestly...you don't HAVE to do anything. Do what you want. That's what I'm doing. There really aren't rules to wedding planning. To each her own!

I wasn't going to do one, having been to too many weddings were only the first few pages were filled in by the end of the night. A few days of the wedding, I changed my mind, got an inexpensive journal from Barnes and Noble and stuck a copy of one of our engagement photos in the front. Our guests only filled 5-6 pages. I'm really glad I didn't spend too much time or money in it.

Instead of a guestbook, we are having a pretty vase and pretty note cards. Hopefully most of our guests will sign and write messages on the notecards and drop them in the vase for us. Then after the wedding, I plan to arrange the notes in a pretty scrapbook. Just another idea of something if you don't like guestbooks
