Just wondering how many people are booking themselves or going the TA route?

we aren't using one, my parents gave us their timeshare for our HM and we are setting up our travel arrangements ourselves.
i can't wait, 24 days & we'll be there!

We did have one for when we booked the cruise part of our trip and we could never get in touch with the guy. We missed out on some savings too because of this so we canceled our reservation with him and re-booked directly with Royal Caribbean. We also booked our hotels and flights online with Expedia and Delta.
I enjoyed doing all my own research on hotels and flights and ended up finding better deals than what the travel agent got us. He had us doing 1-2 stops each way with the flights and I found non-stops for cheaper.

i'm still not sure yet. i started with a travel agent but i'm not having much luck staying within my budget. so, i may end up booking stuff on my own...which is a lot more work, but i think it'll be worth it in the end. i think i may check out one more travel agent and if that still doesn't pan out, then i'm definitely getting the ball rolling and booking stuff myself.

have you tried Tom Varghese? This man sticks to budgets like no other. he wont go over by a dollar if you tell him not to.
i wasnt going to use an agent in the beginning but i had such a hard time figuring out where to go and calculating money. it was just easier to have some sort of expert help me. also, the agent got me a room at a hotel that wasnt even available on expedia when i checked for myself. i dont know how he got it but both expedia and travelocity didnt have the hotel available for my dates.
