I may need a custom wedding band and husband to be wants one custom too, anyone have experiences with them? How are they, can they make all different styles or re-create a Designer band for less?

As one of the other girls said, we went in without an appointment (didn't know we needed one) and they were very rude. They also don't like to give prices. We didn't like them so we didn't go back.
We found another jeweler we like who will make anything you want. They make a wax mold first, you can choose the diamonds if there are any in the ring AND you don't have to buy it if you don't like the way it turns out. We didn't get our rings from them because we found what we want elsewhere, but I did get my earrings and a gift for FH there. Great prices and great quality, especially the stones. They make some of the jewelry for Fortunoff, but use better quality stones in their own jewelry. We were very happy with them. They are from the diamond district but opened a retail store in the Dix Hills area. It's JAD Jewelers on Jericho Tpke, in the shopping center across from DSW.

LIJune Bride can you give me the phone number of the jewler you are talking about on Jericho, how long does it take them for custom, if you know. THANKS!! Maybe I'll go see them if elsa's can't give me a definite price.

FH got my engagement ring from Elsa; and we are getting their bands there. We've gone thru the wax mold stage; picked the diamonds, and in a week or two we should see the metal casting. My ring will run about 2500 (platinum with 6 baguettes and match my ring exactly) and FH's will run 500 (no diamonds at all for him, just a plain one).
We had my engagement ring appraised at an outside appraiser, and it appraised at what they charged us.
My only 'complaint' is the timeframes. When you are working on something they will tell you it will be done in 2 weeks. 2 weeks comes, 4 weeks comes, and nothing. I call and then it will magically be done a couple of days from then. I dont know if its because they are so busy, or what, but I feel like I have to poke them along all the time. But that's okay - they do beautiful work and I dont mind poking people!
