I PUT IT IN THE WINDOW FOR MY FURTURE COUSINS WEDDING AND IT DIDN'T RAIN BUT SHE DID HAVE FLURRIES IN APRIL

People told me about that superstition but I just couldnt bring myself to do it (nor do i have a virgin mary statue in my possesion)...and it still didnt rain despite the forecasts for hurricane like weather.

Thrilled: This is just an old wives tale - its not part of the Catholisism. Just some Catholics (like in every religion) have little superstition things that get incorporated. For example, praying to St. Peter (?) is supposed to help you find lost things.

Supposedly if you put a statue of the virgin mary facing out of your window the night before, it wont rain the next day.

my great grandmother told me if you hang dollar bills on the clothesline it wont rain.

I would joke with my mom saying all of a sudden the 90 year old sicilian is a weather forcaster

I am doing everything. the whole nine. dont want any rain on my day
