Re: Anyone skipping the receiving line?
We HAVE to skip the receiving line or noone will make it to the cocktail hour in time. Our time in MEGA tight (only 1 hour in between ceremony and cocktail hour) and the hall is 45 minutes from the church. I hope it will work out!

Re: Anyone skipping the receiving line?
I am having my receiving line (even though I do not want one but I do know that one will form) at church after our mass.

Re: Anyone skipping the receiving line?
We're having the ceremony at the same place as the reception too, and I don't want it to cut into the cocktail hour so, I don't think we'll have one, but, I really hadn't thought about it too much yet.

Re: Anyone skipping the receiving line?
We can't either because the ceremony is in the same place, and I am so afraid that my FMIL is gonna freak when I tell her we can't do it. But we have 30 minutes for the ceremony, and we have to take pics during the cocktail hour. I'm soooo nervous about this!

Re: Anyone skipping the receiving line?
We are not having one either, because ceremony and reception are at the same place. We'll make sure to greet everyone at the reception.

Re: Anyone skipping the receiving line?
I was thinking about having the receiving line as a requirement to get into the cocktail hour. As people walk from the ceremony to the hall (its all at the same place) they have to come say hi... OR maybe Ill just skip it all together... I havent decided yet.

Re: Anyone skipping the receiving line?
yes, I don't want it to cut into my cocktail hour, We'll just go around and say hello during the cocktail hour, rather than having everyone waiting on a line just to say hello when they could all be enjoying all the wonderful food and drinks
