Don`t endanger your health...
...it`s not worth it. I have never tried this product but anything that is too good to be true usually is. Don`t let the 'all natural' concept fool you, 'all natural' products can be just as dangerous as synthetic drugs. It may seem like a good idea because we all want to look fantastic for our wedding but it is not worth the possible effects it will have on your body, which you will care about later especially if and when you want a child. So despite the testimonials that any quick weight loss product offers, the only safe way is eating right. Try Weight Watchers. That I can recommend. I lost 37 lbs in 3 1/2 months, with deprivation or pills. OK, Lecture over :o) Best wishes to all

Lowdown on pills
Depends what you mean by better. Safer or more effective. TrimSpa has a smaller amount of Ma Huang (ephedrine) in it so you do not have the jitters as much but products like Xenadrine and Hydroxycut have more ephedrine in it work better with regard to weight loss. Unfortunately any products containig Ma Huang (ephedrine) (or caffeine for that matter) can make your heart race. The more Ma Huang (ephedrine) in the product the more jitters you can get. There is a recommonded dosage that the FDA says you shoudl not exceed per day regardless what the bottle tells you but i do not know what that is anymore. Xenadrine and Hydroxycut are about the same price but with Hydroxycut you have to take a lot more pills for proper dosage (yuck). IMPORTANT - Whatever you choose keep in mind that the recommended intended usage is based on a MALE's body which can take more. ALWAYS cut the dosage in half that they recommend for you. ALso, just so you know, while the pills do work by increasing your metabolism (ephedrine is the key component found in ecstasy by the way) there is a danger in taking it. Do not use it for more than two months at a time. Take a 2 week break in between. If you find you have severe heart palipitations stop using it. Stacker is the same thing by the way. Also remember that these pills are not FDA regulated which means that their quality is not regulated and the ingredients listed on the bottle do not have to be actual. Do not intake extra caffeine with it (like coffee) as it may be too much caffeine for you to handle. Also, do not take it close to bedtime as you will have a problem falling asleep. try it for a little while if you want but please be aware of the danger, be careful please and monitor yourself!

Don`t endanger your health...
I second this sentiment! You don't need the pills. Weight Watchers is very effective (if you stick to it) and much safer. It also teaches you how to eat forever - not just for the next month!

Don`t endanger your health...
You are only put on this earth one time, and life is too short. It is not worth it, if it sounds too good to be true it usually is..... G-dforbid it does something horrible to you and it cannot be reversed. So, try Weight Watchers or even try to watch you're fat intake, and get plenty of exercise and drink lots of water.Good luck!

The single most important thing to do before you do ANYTHING (including Weight Watchers and most certainly pills) is CONSULT WITH YOUR DOCTOR. He/she will be THE MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE PERSON with respect to side effects and other, more permanent, damage you might inflict on your body. So, again, the ONLY advice you should be taking is that of your doctor.

For me at this point the only thing to accept is...
That I am a weight watchers flunky. Oh yeah I pay for the meetings each week and get weighed but I just can't keep the brownies out of my mouth. I think all the wedding and dress stress is making it worse. Oh well as long as I don't gain things will be ok. And to think last year when I started I thought I would have lost alot more. Good luck to all weight watchers and gainers and go easy on the pills.

I wanted to try trimspa because... (long)
I Cannot diet, I will not excercise. I know it sounds terrible but its true. I am honest with myself. I know my limitations. I just quit smoking 2 months ago. It took every drop of self control I had. With all the stress of the wedding planning, and with how much I miss my cigarettes, I have been eating. I cannot deprive myself of the food that I love and of cigarettes too. 'Eating right' is not something that I am capeable of right now. The WW meetings would definately get on my nerves. I had will power enough to quit smoking, but not when it comes to food. I am waaay to lazy to exercise and I need an easy way to loose about 10 pounds. I know I am taking the 'low road' and the 'easy way out', but that`s about all I am capeable of right now. So, having said that, anyone have any other suggestions? What about some of those natural diet supplements?

If you really have too... (long)
Not that i want to encourage you in any way, i would rather you didn`t take anything but if you are like me you will do what you want anyway and I would prefer for you to at least be smart and cautious about it. Actually i hate all the all natural pills which say that they are safe for you as components like ma haung, ephedrine and caffeine are considered all natural and they have had bad side effects, but like i said, if you have to do it and you want something safer, i just remembered one called BioSculpt. They sell it at Lucille Roberts and GNC. It is a liquid that you take while you sleep and will not mess with your metabolism as it is STIMULANT FREE. It is NOT A MIRACLE PRODUCT... NOTHING IS, but i do know some girls who have seen results with is. So far I have not read any bad press on it but ALL WEIGHT LOSS METHODS SHOULD BE MONITORED AND TAKEN VERY SERIOUSLY. If you have to take it try to look at it as a jumping off platform to get your routine/diet going... not something you are dependent on. And again, if anything seems slightly out of the ordinary with you, discontinue use and consult your doctor (technically you should really consult with him first). To sum, I have know many people in my life (myself included have) who have or do take weight loss pills. Some people swear by them, others can't digest them... some people get dizzy spells and heart flutters. Then again, who is to say the ones who swear by them are not developing problems they don't know about like phen-phen which caused heart valve problems? Point is be careful and realize too that what works for others may or may not work for you and may even cause you problems. DO NOT USE ANYTHING FOR A LONG TIME... PS - I know what it was like to quit smoking... i smoked a pack a day for 12 years and quit 3 years ago with the patch (couldn't do it otherwise). Hang in there! it's tuff but worth it. I feel so much better know! Good luck!

In addition.. Trimspa ingredients
Below are just some of the ingredients in trimspa... you will see that they list the Guarana seed and mua huang as the first two which means it has the largest percentage present. Guarana Seed Extract (60mg caffeine), Mua Huang extract (15 mg ephedra alkoloids) (aerial parts), Kola Nut (seed), Cayenne Pepper fruit, Siberian Ginseng Root (Eleutherococcus senticosus), Lemon Verbena (aerial parts), Chamomile Flower (Anthemis noblis), Ginger Root (Zingiber officinale), Tangerine Peel (Citrus reticulata), Licorice Root (Glyrrhiza glabra), Chicory Root (Cichorium intybus), Tangerine(peel), Black Pepper (fruit), Long Pepper (Piper longum)(fruit), Ginger (root)

Stacker 2
Ive never used TrimSpa but I can tell you about Stacker 2: -It makes me jittery and very awake right after I take it. - A few hours later I totally 'crash' - can barely keep my eyes open and need a nap unless I take another pill -It makes me soo naseous! I know a lot of people don't experience this side effect but I do. Im sure its not good for your body but it does help you lose weight b/c it raises your metabolism and kills your appetite. I plan on using Stacker2 again for a few months to lose a few pounds before the wedding - but I won't take it for long.

I hate that we all judge ourselves so much
We are all loved by someone so much and yet we still feel the need to get thinner all the time. I know because I am one of you too. I have a problem staying on a not-too-strict diet and a problem getting off my fat butt to exercise. But I know that once I start and really try, I can do it. let's have more faith in ourselves. No one is a failure because WW is not working for them right now. We all have different needs at different times. Sometimes losing weight is a losing battle. But that does not mean we should put ourselved down. It is okay not to be Cindy Crawford. (Now, how do I convince myself of all of this too)

I hate that we all judge ourselves so much - Michele31
Tell that to my tush that would love the pep talk before i walk in a bikini in Maui! I know what you are saying though. It's not just weight, we're hard on ourselves with everything remotely dealing with looks (do you know they charge twice as much for clothes for women as they do for men cuz they know we will buy it if it helps us look good?). Actually, I did rejoin my gym this afternoon on my lunch (Finally!!! My rear says...). Only took me three months to do it! I'm like you, once I really decide to do it I'm good... until then it's one broken diet after another and a pizza here and a cookie there. Thankfully my FH is finally dieting with me so that helps too. :)

Find a partner
It is always easier to do things in pairs. Me and my Fi joined the gym last January (2001) and it is so much easier when you have someone to go with. The nights I want to lay on the couch he makes me go and vice versa. Find someone, anyone to be your work out buddy and maybe you can loose the weight without hurting your body. Good Luck to all ( I know I want to loose another 15 pounds by my wedding) and if you don't loose the last 10 pounds I am sure you will all still look beautiful as you are!!

Please do your homework
Please look into any pills before you take them. For example, in Stacker II, the active ingredient (don't remember the name) has a pretty disturbing side effect: psychosis.

Girls:Get Together & Walk!
I wish I didn`t still live here in Cleveland (moving this summer), because I`d love to ask some of you if you`d like to meet up and do some aerobic walking or running...AND do some venting. But couldn`t some of you figure out if you live close enough to each other to do that? Walking would be perfect since you`d start talking wedding plans and probably walk 10 miles before you knew it! Very healthy for body and soul! Good Luck!
