MY MOM HAD MY RING!!! OMG I was up hysterical crying until 5am. Woke up at 5 to 6 to take her to work and she just walks down the stairs and goes 'heres your ring'

i really really need advice. i took at shower at 11 left my ring on the shelf in the bathroom. it was behind the brush so theres no way it could have gone anywhere.
About half hour ago i was getting ready to go to bed so I went to get my ring and put it in my ring box.
um..
its f*cking GONE!
I woke my brother up, he had his best friend and his sister over. I made him call them to see if maybe they touched something and it fell down the drain and they both said they didnt see it or touch anything on the shelf.
i'm hysterical crying. I can't call my fiance. hes going to friggin kill me.
what the eff do i do?

Wake your brother up and ask him to take the u joint off the bottom of the sink.
I dropped a tiffany necklace down there once. Actually, the cart knocked it down there.
That trap won't let a ring make it past into the major plumbing, it's too heavy to make it back up out of the U.
Is it insured?

Are you sure you didn't move it somewhere and forget and go back to the bathroom to get it after you put it somewhere else? I do crap like that all the time, I swear I have undiagnosed ADD.

i told him i trusted them but if they dropped it down the sink i need to know.

ive gone over it 100x in my head. i never brought it back in my room and i've looked everywhere here too.

It'll still be there, like I said, it's too heavy to make it back up the trap, even if you runt he water.
If it's in there, it'll be pretty gunky, but it shouldn't be damaged and it won't go anywhere. If you shine a flashlight down there you *may* be able to see it, but if you don't it doesn't mean it's not there. Try to get some sleep and deal with it in the morning

thanks girls. i'm trying to relax. i had taken a vicodin right before i went to get the ring so now its starting to kick in so i'll relax soon. i dont think i'll be able to sleep though :(

where is your shelf? its above the sink? i am terrible at keeping track of my ring and i don't even take it off that much. i once put my ring on the top of the toilet for some silly reason and it slid down in between the toilet thing and the wall and i had to use a wire hanger to get it out so you could check there as well! FH is a plumber and is going to get up in an hour and 45 min so ill ask him about the sink as well... i hope you find it

holy crap. did you get to take the sink apart and look yet?? do you have any animals in the house? maybe it fell off the shelf and a little guy was interested in the new shiny toy? just trying to think of other scenarios that could have happened...i hope you found it!!!
