Anyone using a DOC?

Anyone using a DOC?

I am so confused. I am having a fairly large wedding (about 320-350 guests). I odn' tknow anyone who's used a DOC, but I'm starting to think I may need one. With all the details of that day to be looked after, I don' t know that I can do it myself (with the help of mom and FMIL of course). Is anyone using a DOC and if so, what is a ball park figure of what they charge? Thanks girls..

it depends on what kind of service you are looking for.
I know a lot of girls who are involved in this site, then go on to provide DOC for other brides after their wedding.

Before I started planning my wedding I planned a friends wedding and then looked into doing it professionally and if I were to do it, $350 would be the starting fee I'd charge depending on what the client needed.

you basically just need to look around, and keep an open mind b/c 'unknown' vendors can be just as amazing as popular ones you see on the boards.

Re: Anyone using a DOC?

I used one for my wedding and to me it was money well spent.
I used Laura from LA Productions (I think she starts around $750). She just took control of everything. I didn't have to think. My mom ended up being so nervous before the ceremony, she couldn't even get me in my dress. Laura was a godsent to her. She even sewed a button back on my bros tux during the photo session.
I had a lot of personal details and decor ideas for reception and she made sure everything was set up just right. She even redecorated my cake b/c the florist didn't do it right. After my honeymoon, she told me all the little things that weren't quite right that day. Well, I didn't have a clue. Anything that wasn't right was taken care of before I saw it.
I highly recommend her.

Plus, you'll have 'It's Laurie' to work with you on design elements. How great would that be? You loved her wedding!

Christine at Exquisite Affairs Productions. She is the DOC for TWOTY and she is my DOC. She is amazing.

I also met this past weekend Gina from Bleu Diamond events and she was fabulous. She is a vendor on here as well and has lots of experience and knows TONS of vendors very well.

Yes - Christine from EAP - she did Shorty's (ShortyMcBride) wedding (I was a guest) in November - and I definitely recommend CHRISTINE - She was ON that night - I saw her organize everything - make sure everything was set-up and done correctly - she was great. I mean, even as a guest I noticed - it was awesome!! CHRISTINE all the way

Re: Anyone using a DOC?

We're definitely having a doc...(two actually...for $650)...but we're getting married in FL so I'm not much help. I do suggest one for all the lil things you don't want to worry about and be bothered with that day. I really want my bridal party and guests to just have fun so someone has to see to all the lil details. Money well spent I think.

i'm using one, but i also work for her.........for me she'll kinda be half DOC half guest.......if your very detail oriented, and specific they can be very useful.........especially in the whole planning out your timeline, and the rehersal process their a great resource! but i have a bias opinion since i do this as a part time job!

Wow $650 for two DOCs! That's great, I wish I was getting married in FL!
