We used Michael O`Neill

We have our proofs back from our September wedding, and they`re beautiful. Everyone has commented on how great the pictures are, and I really loved what he did. He was absolutely wonderful to work with the day of our wedding (and at the 'engagement' sitting). We first sat with Kathy back in Nov. 2000, and they have been very accomodating with our requests, and helpful with our questions and concerns. What amazed me about Kathi was how, in the very beginning, she always knew exactly who I was when I called, and when after only seeing us twice over a span of several months, picked us out of a crowd at a John Anthony`s showcase before we even spotted them! It rained the day and night of our wedding, so outdoor shots were impossible. But, during the night, Michael made sure to tell us of their 100% weather guarantee, meaning he would be willing to take my husband and me back out for outdoor shots. For the days immediately following our wedding I was torn .. didn`t know what to do. Kathy recommended we go and get all done up again, and I`m glad she stressed it so much because I really love what Michael did that afternoon. We first went to Belmont Lake, and he was so enthusiastic .. you could almost hear his creative juices flowing! It was really neat, and he really seemed to love the setting. After that, we went down to John Anthony`s and did all kinds of shots out on the deck, and ended with shots done with us upstairs on the staircase. Well, we all thought we were done, but then Michael decided he wanted to try a few more .. and these are some of my favorites with us under an overhang that has a dramatic roof .. it`s hard to descibe but it made a very stunning photo. Well, then we all thought we were done, and my husband removed my train. But, when we went out to the front, Michael was again looking around for more shots, then said he`d like to try a few more because he never gets to use the front on wedding days because the valet guys are always around. Anyway, bottom line, I loved how he kept trying more things, and was so glad they do offer that 100% weather gaurantee. As with just about everything from our wedding day, I do have a few things that bother me, though. We had some meaningful photos missed. I guess I could partially take the blame for that, because I didn`t write my own list of photos, we simply went over things with Kathi as she jotted notes down on paper. When I look back now, I should have made my own list, left it with them in one of our last meetings before the wedding, as well as make sure someone (even me) check with Michael on arrival of what was out of the ordinary shots that were needed throughout the day. But again, I have to stress how beautiful his work is. I love my proofs, and will certainly have a hard time when we sit down to do the album .. we just haven`t been able to work it into our crazy schedules. Make sure, though, you know what kind of style you want. Most of our pictures are posed shots, with some of the exceptions being of us during the ceremony and shots taken at the reception. There are other photographers who primarily focus on a very candid approach. If you have any other questions, you can email me at: [email protected]

Thanks Kel

We met with Kathi on Thursday and were very impressed with her presentation and the custom printing with exposing some of the picture more than the other. We may be gullible when it comes to the technicalities of photography, but it looked very impressive. Did you have a problem with goose droppings at Belmont? I`d heard that`s a problem...They suggested an arboretum in Oakdale for our pictures...
