Anyone with a review on these DJ's?

These are the DJ's from my reception hall. Can you guys let me know your experiences with them and pricing. FM's or posts would be fine! I need ceremony, cocktail hour and reception with giveaways.

1. Then Till Now
2. In the Mood
3. Tommy Tunes
4. Party Sensation

TIA!
Donna

I LOVE TOMMY TUNES!! My brother used them and so am I. They are willing to work with you in price and will do almost anything. I vote for them.

Re: Anyone with a review on these DJ's?

I second Tommy's Tunes....They are great I have heard them numerous times and I am using them for my wedding, from what I understand they are a little more expensive than some other djs but they are so worth it. They have been in the business for something like 20 years. I requested Joe E. as my MC, he is wonderful, I believe is his name - the one that looks like Christopher from the sopranos.

Another vote for Tommy Tunes. We met w/ 3 different DJs and Tommy was definitely the best!

Re: Anyone with a review on these DJ's?

My sister used Tommy Tunes for her wedding last weekend. I have to say they did a wonderful job! We had so much fun!

She got a Frank Sinatra singer for cocktail hour. It was great!

We used Get In Tune for our wedding, they were really good too. (that is who our hall recommended))

Re: Anyone with a review on these DJ's?

Not a fan of Tommy Tunes... A little to cheesy for me, and certainly not worth the price. JMO. Take a look at Bravura Entertainment, very classy and an elegant DJ!

I agree --- besides the fact he was EXTREMELY annoying calling my house literally every other nite--and I went to a showcase where he was--and was NOT impressed at ALL!!!!!!!

I agree with the calling and the fact the I had problems with him for my e-party, I went with Ralph from Hi-Energy and for the same stuff it is half the price that Tommy Tunes wanted.

My vote goes for tommys tunes. I would try to see if they are perfoming at any showcases to judge for yourself. I think they might be performing at the watermill showcase. Call them and find out.

Re: Anyone with a review on these DJ's?

I'm going to break away and say good things about In The Mood. My sister used them for her wedding and FH liked them. With all the weddings/E-parties we've ever been too, he couldn't stand the DJ. Always too pushy, loud or just didn't play good music.
We didn't look around at all for my wedding, just booked them. We have a meeting with them tomorrow night to fininalize the music and stuff.

Re: Anyone with a review on these DJ's?

Not a fan of Tommy Tunes. Too immature and cheesy for me. But it really depends on what you want. We used Albert lee Music, very classy and elegant and had everyone up and dancing all night! Just my opinion.

this was our situation, t hey won out by far. we also got the sinatra singer, glad to hear he was good (even though i knew he would be )

as far as them calling, they called once to confirm my appointment and that was it, so i didnt experience that problem with them. And as far as cheesiness goes, we are being very specific about what 'style' we want our dj's to be, no dragging people on the dance floor, etc. they will be there on their own! we dont want the 'cheesy' party songs, but arent against them if people request them (except for a select few lol)

Re: Anyone with a review on these DJ's?

I've been writing down songs I want played for the reception as I hear things. I also do not want 'cheesy' songs. I have a wide range of ages and need to address something for everyone. From dance to classical. I have all the songs I want for the ceremony already. I'm more concerned with everyone's prices with cocktail hour music and ceremony. That is what kills me. A bit ridiculous on the $ for pressing a few buttons for an hour and a half. Or is it just me?

Re: Anyone with a review on these DJ's?

I believe the $$$$ on the ceremony and Cocktail hour is more for set up and use of equipment than anything else.

Plus, you have to pay the person to be there that extra time.

But then, I don't know what the extra charge is. Ours was negotiable.
