Anyone with really dry skin this time of year?

Original post by HnM2010

Ugh my skin is sooo itchy and dry this time of year. I put on lotion all the time but it never lasts. Does anyone have any recommendations for body lotions or face moisturizers that help you? The only thing that helps my hands is the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula but I don't think they have a body or face lotion but Im not sure. Any suggestions are appreciated!

My face gets really really dry in the winter. My derm had me buy a face cream by the brand Revision Skincare. It is by far the best I have ever used..swear!

I use a sea salt or sugar scrub that has essential oils built in during my shower and then either lather up with The Body Shops olive body butter or even better...pure African Shea Butter. It comes in a chinese food soup container but it's sooooooooooooooo good for your skin. Packed with vitamins. It's super cheap too. Sometimes hard to find but easier online. Make sure it's pure raw African Shea butter though...not mixed with lotions or fragrances etc like they'd sell in department stores. It's yellow and kinda hard but softens up with body heat (rubbing it in your hands) It's a little greasey if you use too much but its nice especially in the winter or at night on your feet w socks. I use it on my lips bc they get dryer in the winter..and in my hair...it's all purpose

Jojoba oil has worked wonders for me. DOES NOT cause breakouts and leaves my skin super soft. I usually mix in a drop or two with my normal moisurizer (Aveeno) and i am good to go.

ALso, Oil of Olay bodywash with ribbons is the best...I used to have painfully dry skin all over in the winter and this has helped a great deal.

I use jojoba in my hair too and it's amazing!
