My husband and I are building a brand new one bedroom apartment in the basement of our house. We live in Seaford. Its a one bedroom apartment with use of your own washer and dryer. We are looking for $1,100 -$1,200 a month (includes all)
We are looking to have a tenant move in either November 1st or Nov. 15th. We are waiting for the cabinets to be installed any day now. Everything is brand new - from the bathroom - to the kitchen - to all appliances. Own private entrance in the backyard.
We live very close to all Parkways and the LIRR. I have attached a picture of the outside of the house.
Please let me know if you have any questions or if you know of anyone looking for an apartment. We wanted to spread the word before we went with a realtor.
You have a beautiful house!! Wher is it? We have a friend that is looking for an apt...

Re: Apartment for Rent
Ohh - Thanks! We got soooo lucky with this house. A builder bought it, knocked it down, and rebuilt it.
I guess it would be nice if I told the location huh?! We live in Seaford. North of Sunrise Highway.

Hey, my advice...don't go with a realtor. They charge you an arm and a leg, I should know b/c I am one. Everyone needs an apartment rental so just save yourself thousands of dollars and just run an ad in pennysaver or town crier.
PS - You do have a beatiful home! Island Trees SD?

We are in the Levittown SD actually. I still don't get how that happened bc we are much closer to Seaford HS.

what does 'includes all' include? Cable? AC?

Re: Apartment for Rent in Seaford
fyi, I live in the same neighborhood and have the same setup in an upstairs apt. I think $1200 is asking a lot IMO. People in this neighborhood are getting less for non-basement apts.
Try listing it on Craigslist.com in the realy section before going to a realtor.

Re: Apartment for Rent in Seaford
The tenant will also have their own personal washer/dryer - which is why the rent is higher. I rented for a long time and would have done anything to have my own washer/dryer. We have shown it to a few people and will lower the price if we have to but they all seemed to think that it was priced reasonably. Thanks for your input though.

We compared our apartment to other ones on the market right now and we were in the same price range (with those not including washer/dryer)
Thanks for your input though!

Re: Apartment for Rent in Seaford
Everything brand new??? And washer/dryer? Great price... if we didn't already have an apartment I would jump on that! Good luck.

Re: Apartment for Rent in Seaford
Thanks! That's what we are hoping for. Every appliance is brand new. New kitchen, new bathroom. I tried to make it someplace that I would have wanted to move into back when I was renting.

Re: Apartment for Rent in Seaford
I may be interested I'm going to mention it to my fiance. He wants to wait to get into an apartment until after the holiday's but I'd much rather do it sooner rather than later. I'm saving this!

Re: Apartment for Rent in Seaford
I also have an apartment (which is rented) but I went through a realtor and din't pay anything. the tenant pays the real estate...they also do a credit check. I used Gail at Shane's Anchor (I believe in Seaford) She onyl does rentals!
