Appetizer question...what would you prefer?

Would you prefer a mixed greens salad with cut up fresh lobster displayed nicely around the plate with a special sauce or a mixed greens salad with a big crouton and goat cheese?

I picked the mixed greens. I'm allergic to all shellfish, so I'm probably overly sensitive to food allergies...but they both sound delicious!

I am allergic to shellfish, as I am sure some of your guests may be. I would be careful about chosing the lobster . . .

I am not a seafood fan at all, so I picked the salad .. while lobster might seem like a better choice off the bat and VERY tasty for some, there are a LOT of people with seafood/shellfish allergies out there and they wouldnt be able to touch it ..

I picked the lobster - but you have to be careful with that because allergies to shellfish is rather common...

I personally can't eat lobster because I am allergic. Do you have anyone who can't eat lobster for allergies or religious reasons? If its not a factor, go for either one.

I personally would prefer the lobster salad, but like the other girls said, some people may have allergies or simply not like seafood. I have Jewsih relative who stay kosher, so though I'll have some shellfish (shrimp clams and mussels) during CH, it won't be included in any of the appetizers or main course options.

I personally don't like goat cheese, , but love lobster... You will never please everyone, I have come to realize that.

Thanks for all the opinions....we are doing the lobster and then there will be a regular salad option for those that dont eat shell fish. We do have some kosher folks.

I am allergic to seafood but....I would go with it anyway...it sounds nicer than the other...if it is the same price of course or at least reasonable...those are like two extremes though.

I would rather go with the lobster, but I would choose the mixed greens.
