I would choice the second one just from experience becasue my mom is allergic to seafood and she is never able to eat anything that has seafood in it. and we have been to a few weddings that served seafood with the salad and she can't eat it. Its not like she can pick around it, if the seafood has touched the lettuce she can't eat that either.

ok i would go with the first and here is why - the mixed greens most people will eat and if they dont like lobster it is on the side of the dish so they dont have to eat it - personally i dont like goat cheese and i know they sprinkle that all over the salad - it makes it hard to eat any of it because there is cheese everywhere - having something simple like mixed greens with the lobster on the side makes it easier to pick around it if you dont like something JMO

The lobster may sound fancier, but goat cheese is pretty fancy, too. And there is the shellfish allergy/dislike thing to consider. So I voted for the goat cheese one.

I pick the goat cheese because I dont like shellfish! You cant trust an animal that carries its house with it! You never know the last time it has been cleaned! (well I guess lobsters don't carry their houses around, but I have always wanted to use that line).
