April 2006-congratulations NEWLYWEDS! updated page 1

We sent out 59 invites, and I have one more to send out. 130 people total we invited. So far 28 yes and 10 no.

We got 4 in one day once, but otherwise we get about 1 a day, sometimes 2. I already know we will have to call family members for their RSVP who will probably say 'You should already know we're coming!!' I didn't pay for postage for the RSVP for the envelope to sit in your house. Just send the damn thing back, is it really that hard??

Just spoke to my brother, and even he knows that invites for any kind of shower should have gone out a month ago. Apparently he spoke to my aunt (My MOH's mother) and all he told me was 'something will be happening this weekend'. What the hell does that mean?? Does that mean the invites are going out this weekend, or my MOH is finally starting to plan this??Because we are running out of time, and I am tired of rearranging our schedule in order to keep a few weekends free!!!

I feel like the only April bride whose shower invites have not gone out yet!!

Hey Girls!!
I have a progress report today:
Meet with priest for final prepartations before wedding day. I was sad leaving the church with FH since this will be the last time both of us will be there until the wedding day (yes, I can be a sap sometimes)
I wanted to make sure I looked pretty and my skin is flawless so I went to the dermatologist.
I went to the florist who is having a HARD time finding my flowers..I want white and lavendar roses. Are those hard to get?? She said there is none. WHAT??? I have seen them so many times. Why is this so stressful. I will post a topic for this cause I have seen them. I am so pissed, she is nicely working with me but how can she not find them??
in great news..FH and I ordered rings!!! They will be ready in 2 weeks
I have final preparations for Hall tomorrow. Table linens and menu.
I had to get a lot done this week because I was off from school. YEAH!!
Oh yeah -Invite update...
26 YES (including one LIW bride )

We are meeting with our hall tomorrow to see what we can negotiate for being 30 people short of our minimum. Wish us luck!

What do we have left to do?
-Making my ring bearer pillows. I just bought all the material and goods.
-Get the unity candle
-lose 60 pounds

Hey everyone-just want to say it is two months from today (okay 59 days) and we are moving along:
picked up my ring last Sat, have a florist appt, hair trial and dress preview this Sat! My shower was Sat too! Getting really excited!!!

Only sad part is that the RSVPs are only trickling in! Wish they would come faster...

I hae been bad and not posted on this thread though I am an April Bride.

tonite I spent two hrs adding bows to my invites and those are getting weighed for postage
and finishing the stuffing.....PHEW!
Im still working on thank yous for my shower and got 1/2 out....working on the other 1/2.

Still have to make appt for final menu due this month...cant believe we are into March!

Dress fitting is March 9th....still dieting and hitting the gym!

As more comes, will keep u all updated!

BM dresses are in!! I may go to see them today, I don't know if I feel like driving all the way out to East Rockaway right now.

This week alone we have to pay off the HM and I have another installment to the florist. I can't believe we're already starting final payments.

We're going for our marriage license tomorrow or Friday, and Monday we meet with our officiant to go over our ceremony. First fitting is scheduled for the 11th. Things are beginning to happen fast now!!

RSVPs are still trickling in and now I am worried we will barely make our minimum. We invited 130. Right now we have 34 yes and 16 no. I can't believe out of 130 people, we're going to struggle to make 75!!

Our RSVP date is March 11th and we're still missing 34 responses!!! So I feel your pain!! (Although a few of them are members of the BP and close family who we know will be attending.)

Same here....but what's the deal with holding on to it!

The responses keep getting lost and sent to someone else's house. I have received 10 with wrong address so I am very UPSET...oh and rehersal dinner thanks so FMIL is still not done.
Grrr....

Actully today we are meeting with organist for the church, the cake people and the Pastor

This week:

Finish programs
finish favors (just a little bit more to do with them)
Start table lists
Go for my first fitting 3/16 ( it was supposed to be thursday but someone screwed up! lol)
Buy some comfy undies for the big day
Contiune my honeymoon shopping
Calll my photographer

Actully things are coming together rather nicely :)

Let's see today is our RSVP deadline and no responses came in today. Still waiting on about 25 responses. We're going to wait until Friday or Saturday to start making calls.

Met with officiant yesterday and started going over our ceremony.

First fitting got pushed to next Saturday because Phyllis is sick.

Scheduled semi-final appt with catering hall for the 21st.

Going to start working on the aisle runner and maybe finish the favors this weekend if possible.

Got our marriage license, and my passport came in this week.

All the small stuff is happening fast, ladies!!!

Finally ordered our favors today and booked the limo this past week.

Next up is FH and the tuxes (!!) (he was going to do it a few weeks ago but he's been sick a lot since then) & marriage license!

I had my 'Last Lei' this weekend...it was my bachlorette party with a hawaiian theme....had a blast.

-I ordered our wedding rings

-bought table name holder
-bought best men gifts
-bridal party have their dresses for alterations
-my scrap book I ordered for the photo guest book came in

Still need to do:
-finalize wedding program
-buy material for baskets and pillow for FMIL to make

-WAITING FOR DRESS TO COME IN

We have our marriage license and last weekend was my shower which was awesome.

Next on my list? Make a decision about my makeup and finalize all of the little things (programs, favors, menus, place cards, BP gifts, RB pillows, etc.).

Meet w/DJ to go over Playlist and photomontage
