I figured everyone else's month pops up why not ours...
Ok ladies where are we with planning and getting things out.
Please don't ask me..I am so behind. I am off work for the summer and now have no money for deposits on anything so I am waiting.
I have Duet -photo & Video and that's about it...I have all these little ideas swirling in my head though.

I have a floist appt tomorrow and this weekend will probably meet with a travel agent about the honeymoon.

Trying to hold off on buying anything since I'm low on funds right now. I might know by next week if I have a 'temporary' offer for a job.

I'll crossed my finger for you

How did it go???

Re: April 2006 girls Welcome

So, I hope to have the HM and invitations crossed off in the next 2 weeks. And I got my shoes. Also, the girls go saturday for dress measurements and ordering. It still seems like so much to do. We still need to tackle limos and tuxes for the main stuff

Sounds like everyone else is doing well. This post is fun.

I don't feel like I have a lot to do, but that's worrying me.

I THINK I have everyone booked....what am I missing?????

I'm going to start the little projects soon, and hopefully have them done by mid-september.

I start Credit Training at work in three weeks, and won't have a single moment during the weekdays to do any wedding planning. Training doesn't end untill right before Thanksgiving! UGH...GREAT TIMING!

Re: April 2006 girls Welcome

I'm getting small things on Ebay right now...and I have to sell a few things too!!! Maybe I'll post pics of the items here to see if I have any takers before I put the stuff up for bid!!

We're holding off on limos for a bit until we get our locations that day down. I don't want to say we're taking pictures at Gerry Park until I send them the site fee and we get our permit. Once that's done, then I can look for a limo. But otherwise, we can check into the HM!! I'm asking my 2 family members this weekend about using their time shares!

What are you guys up to?

I feel the same way! I still have to book the HM, but that is on the back burner until, well, Monday, when I go back to work and request the days.

I can't think of anything that needs to be done right now, other than save money.

Same here...I have been off all summer and looking forward to going back to school. I am broke and holding off anymore wedding things until October. I hope that is not really bad but deposits are rough.

OH MY GOD! I am suppose to get married in april and after looking at all your messages i am in big trouble. I need some serious help. Does anyone recommend any books that can help me get started? This is my first time on this website.

Re: April 2006 girls Welcome

Well let's see what do you have done so far??

As for books, all I have is the following:

The Anti-Bride Wedding Planner

1001 Ways to Save Money and Still Have A Dazzling Wedding

1000 Wedding Bargains

Since you have 8 months I would say get moving NOW on your hall, gown, photographer and BM dresses if you don't have these done already. The rest of the things can wait a month or two.

Re: April 2006 girls Welcome

Cut and paste some of our 'to do' lists and customize it to your own wedding but most of them have the same stuff on there..This site is great but it sometimes puts you in a panic with girls doing stuff so early and way ahead of what you would do it. But don't stress and don't worry all will be done before you say your 'I Do's'
Good Luck and Happy Planning!!!

Re: April 2006 girls Welcome

Big weekend!!! I ordered my invites, the girls ordered their dresses, we picked up the paper for the menus I feel like I got stuff accomplished, although my FH is taking forever to give an answer on the HM quoted, and pick a date for tuxes and limos.

Re: April 2006 girls Welcome

I *finally* booked our honeymoon today. We are taking a 5 night cruise in the Caribbean and then spending 5 days at Disney World!

nicpizzo - do you have pictures of your invitations?

Re: April 2006 girls Welcome

I ordered my invites this week from Now-And-Forever.com. I should be getting them in next week!! They have been super friendly and great to work with!! They even called me to let me know that the color ink I wanted didn't come out well on the invite, so they reprinted them in another color!! Some places wouldn't care and send it to you anyway!!! And I managed to stay under $250 for the invites!!

Also picked out the BM dresses. Now it's just a matter of getting the girls to the salon to place their order. (And of course the BM from hell is still whining about her body issues!!)

But I feel like I have some things accomplished, along with winning some bids from Ebay, and getting the items in the mail this week!!

It's been a busy week!!! I don't want to purchase anything else until the paychecks are rolling in on a normal basis!!
