I'm an April 25th bride too! Right now I still have to -
finalize/send out invitations get tuxes finalize favors meet with priest for ceremony outline, etc get my shoes, undergarments, etc go for a hair/makeup trial - I know who I'm using it's just getting there Work on stuff I plan on doing myself - programs, seating chart Pick out wedding bands Gifts for the bridal party
What I am missing??

Donna, it sounds like we have all of the same things to do still, which makes me feel better! I just bought my headpiece and veil and ordered my invitations this weekend. I am also looking for ceremony musicians, I just hope I didn't wait too long!

When are you planning to send out your invites? I was thinking late Feb? does that sound right?
I saw in the Ebay post that you had a problem with the Unity Candle - did you end up ordering another one? I'm going to see if I can make one, I don't think it should be too hard.

I think the end of Feb might be a little late, depending on when you plan to have the RSVP date be. My FMIL and I are going to start addressing the invites this weekend (I should hopefully have them by then) and if they don't go out this weekend then definitely by next weekend. I think I'm doing it a little earlier than I need to....but I'd say the beginning of Feb sounds good. My RSVP date is March 25th.
As for the unity candle situation, I kept the damaged one, thinking I might just take the ribbon off of it and buy a new plain pillar candle and put on the new one. The tapers were both broken too .....so I might just end up buying a whole new set. I just can't see spending 30-50 bucks for a set of candles I'll only use once. I'm waiting to see if Michael's does one of those 40% off coupons so I can get one of their sets.

Hmm, my response date is 3/25 too. Maybe I'll try to get them out around Valentine's Day. I thought it was 8 weeks before the wedding - yikes it's getting close.
Thanks for the info about the unity candle, I may just make my own, I got directions from a website

I have most everything done - just the little stuff left. I've been working on the invites and most of them are addressed except for the few that I need addresses from my FH (which could be a while ) then I'm going to have everyone help me stuff them. Silly me I got invites that have to be put together (see pic) so it'll take a while. I'm planning on having them mailed by Valentines Day for a 3/25 deadline. I did my hair and makeup trial last week and booked the Royal brass also, I have a cake testing this upcoming weekend! I just ordered the favors (CDs and Mint tins) so I'm going to have to get going on putting those together.
I have left to do: Finalize menu Called today to get info for music at the church Already picked readings just have to notify the church Finalize music (they send me packet middle of feb) Finalize flowers - My invites will be going to the caligrapher I think this or next week (lion in the sun sends them for me) They go out middle of Feb get a card box Order programs order BM jewelery - picked out but not ordered yet Make placecards (doing art theme - favors are framed art magnets in Metropolitan gold envelopes) they are going to be post cards of different art work (table names will be different art works) Dress fitting starting March 20 Finalize time for limos
Hmmm have I forgotten anything?

Okay.......I am joining the club. This is what I still have left:
-Wedding bands -Tuxes -Meet with priest to finalize music, etc. -Meet with florist to choose flowers and make sample centerpiece -Meet with catering hall to finalize menu -Gifts for groomsmen, flower girl, readers -Send out invites...I just finished stuffing this week. I am not sure when I am sending them. I was thinking mid Feb. My response date is 3/20. Do you think that is okay?
I can't believe we only have a few weeks left!! I can't wait.

Hello all you fellow April brides! Glad to see this post got bumped up
This past week, we got our invitations, and we're in the process of assembling them and my FMIL is addressing them. Also, ordered my disposable cameras for the tables. Still have a lot to do though:
-Meet w/ officiant (1st week in Feb) -Decide on favors and either order them ready made or start assembling them (chocolate truffles in a box) -1st dress fitting (probably in March - my place told me to wait til 6 weeks before, does that sound right?) -Finalize menu, songs for DJ, flowers, make list of must-take pics -Buy shoes and undergarments -Go for hair and makeup trials (hair- going on V-Day, makeup not sure yet)
Boy oh boy, there's so much to do, and I know I'm forgetting a ton of things!
Hope you're all holding up well! Just a few more weeks!
ETA - Rings, GMs and parent gifts....I'll keep remembering things as I go along and when I read OPP (other people's posts LOL)

Thanks for the good news about the weather, our ceremony is supposed to be outside! Ok, so here's were I stand: -made the appt for our sample centerpiece for Feb. 20th -need to finalize songs w/ DJs -finish stuffing invites -finalize menu w/ hall -finish putting together favors -make rose petal cones -make menus -seating and make place cards -do must have photo list -do fitting for dress (beg. of March) -get pics to videographer
did makeup trial got all jewelry picked out cake this past weekend
hmmmm what else...

Hi ladies -
I have to confess I haven't done much wedding related. I still have to get shoes and my undergarments along with the rest of my stuff on my list.
I did have my shower last Sunday and it was awesome. So I've been busy writing my thank yous - can't even imagine what it's going to be like writing the wedding ones
