Arboretum in Oakdale??

So we've decided that we are going to be taking our photos at the Arboretum in Oakdale since it's closer to our church. I saw some pics when I did a search on here, but wasn't sure if they were with the right captions. Anyway, is there a lake or something at the Arboretum? Any info or pics would be awesome. Thanks girls.

Here's my album of pictures at the arboretum but I'm afraid most of them are flowers from the Dahlia garden.

Yes, the river is there, it's very nice. So is the main house, and there's a huge weeping birch tree that's wild.

i've heard it's beatuiful there, but just make sure you speak to them first and reserve it. i know they are chraging a site fee and also closing earlier then they used to

I just looked on the NYS Parks site and it says the Arboretum entry is from 10-5, they close at 6:30. The fee for photography is $50. I hope this is accurate. I will be calling tomorrow.

We're getting our pics there too! My grandfather has a tree planted there in his memory, so I thought it would be a nice way for my grandfather to 'be with us' on our wedding day. But I love it there, and there is a canal, and it's beautiful.

we took our wedding pics at the arboretum and they came out beautiful. I'm not good with bodies of water, but I think it is on the Great South Bay, so you can take pictures with the water in teh background.

There's also an old mansion that makes a really great background, gazebos, and HUGE trees, beautiful flowers.

You'll love it there. beware of the goose poop though! They were like landmines. You had to watch where you stepped very carefully!
