I don't think so. Remember it is an engagement party and not the wedding.

Re: Are balloons cheesy for an E-party?
I don't think a few here and there. If you are thinking of an arch like we all had at our sweet 16, then that might be a little much

Lido Golf Club-
When I say balloons I dont mean like over the top balloons everywhere- just a few for the tables (in lieu of centerpeices)
FH likes the idea but I dont want people to think they are at a sweet 16.

I think its a cute idea. Not too sweet sixteen unless you had like a million of them or a baloon arch or something.

i agree with the others 2 or 3 for a CP is good........and you can get soemthing cute as the weight and maybe incororate ur colors. My wedding colors are pink (light) and green (sage). For my E-party i did bright pink and bright green. I had matching invites and thank yous of the same bright colors. It was in the summer and outside at my house so the bright looked great. Now i am carrying the same colors into the wedding.

ITA with what the other ladies said. We plan on using balloons for our E-party IMO its more efficient for the occasion. You don't want to overshadow the wedding

I actually had the Kim Anderson Balloons at my E-party and it came out pretty cute! My FMI put one Kim Anderson balloon at each table with 3 more the same color at different heights.

Re: Are balloons cheesy for an E-party?
We had them at our engagement party. (just a few here and there) it did add a nice touch. my bridesmaids didi all o fthe decorating so it was a suprise for us and they matched the table cloths and balloons to the colors of their bridesmaid dresses. Another nice touch they did was they bought off white roses and put just the petals on the tables with little votive candles.(just another idea for you , i dont know if your into that) But have a great time
