I am looking for a 1 bedroom apartment in the new hyde park/manhasset area. i need to find it within the next month before i start a new job. craigs list is helpful only with apt. with brokers fees. is it worth it for us to bite the bullet and pay a brokers fee or keep looking and hope something within our budget will pop up?
I have had 3 apts. Only 1 I found through a broker. I looked at a bunch through a broker but I didn't feel they were worth it!
for home PURCHASES i would definitely say yes. for rentals i think it can be avoided. but if you're under pressure, you may want to go thru a broker so that you dont have to do all the work.
