Are people jealous or is it just me?

Ok I finally sent out my invites - on saturday - and one of my friends kept on asking me about them and im like you'll see them when they get mailed out - so this morning im like did you get the invite yesterday? and shes like yeah i did, i forgot to tell you. & THATS IT - nothing like, oh they're nice or anything ---
but not to say anything just kinda pissed me off.
- and i really think my invites are nice, they were different --- pic in my album

i know some people are jealous/mad/bitter that you spend x amount of $'s on something that is totally stupid like invites & i think that this has something to do with it

im the type that could care less about what kind of invitation i received in the mail id be the person who just said, yeah, i got it im like that with a lot of stuff....its not that im not impressed, or that im jealous, its just some things arent that exciting to me - thats in general and wedding related

ETA: dont get to down about it - im sure your friend is excited - its just silly to expect someone to be as excited as you about your invitation - thats JMO

I can tell you right now it is not just you Jealousy brings out the worst in people. I found this out first hand a few times in my life. Someone can be the nicest person in the world but once they get jealous about something they change and there is no hiding it. It ***** but some people just cant stand to see other peoples good fortune.

oh well what can you do - you cant please everyone with your choices, ive already learned this.

maybe it wasnt intentional and it just went over her head when she said i received it but didnt comment more on it- was it said to you a certain way that offended you then i could understand-

dont stress it you have very nice invites BTW

Yea it can be frustrating but you have to just grin and bear it You are never going to make everyone happy. It makes you wonder though why would somebody ask how something is going if they dont want to hear the answer. Just dont stress it. This is your wedding and you dont want to let these little things get you stressed out at a time where you are supposed to be having fun and enjoying it.

don't think much about it.. it maybe that she didn't think about saying how pretty or nice your invites are (which they are.. your invites are really pretty).. maybe she had something on her mind..

IMO you're totally right and planning my wedding has made me see how selfish and rude and jealous people really are. Don't pay it any mind.

For the record, ur invites are gorgeous!! I love them.

Well I wouldnt want people to LIE to me to make me feel ok with what I am doing. I agree w cresentbride maybe she didnt like them and didnt want to say.
I agree that people get jealous too, but remember as long as YOU like it, it is your day, you shouldnt need the approval of other people. Just sit back and enjoy

i think it depends on whether the person is married or not. before i was engaged i don't remember really paying attention to invitations. maybe she just wanted to make sure she was invited, but didn't really think to notice how nice the invitation was?

but if she is married that she's just being jealous.

either way it doesn't feel good for you, especially after she was asking about it before she got it. sorry, that stinks...and your invitations are very pretty!!

BUt I kinda know what was on her mind.
Yeah she probably didn't like them -
plus I know most invites thats shes gotten before were just regular white - do it at home kinda thing -

Dont be concerned with them. Plenty of people will love them!
