Are people this dumb - Dear ____________

Client,

Client: 'Hi Haroula, I was wondering, I haven't received my tax papers, you know, the ones that I bring my accountant??? Instead, I got this big envelope from your home office..........'

Me: 'Well, the 1099's come from our home office in St Louis, and in big red letters it says 'YOUR TAX DOCUMENTS ARE INCLUDED'

Client: 'ohhhh yea thats what I just got. I thought it would say something else to indicate that is what I need to bring to my CPA....'

I just sat in silence.


wt f!!!????! ! Can people be this slow......what did you want, step by step instructions on opening your 1099, making a CPA appt, goign to your car, turning it on, driving to their office and handing it to them!?!? How much more obvious can the freakin envelope be lady?!!?!? Big red CAPS letters stating your tax documents are included SHOULD BE ENOUGH.

and yes they can be that dumb... lol

umm i have a dumb person encounter today tooo!

so i go in our pantry to make lunch. clearly someone had been using the microwave in there bc the screen said 'END' like something just finished cooking and there was a lean cuisine box next to it. Sooo this other woman was in there and goes omg somethings beeping is that the fire alarm?!

i was like uhhhhh no it was the microwave bc the food stopped you moron!!!

my stupid people of the day story:
the spring 2009 was my last semester in school & the Form 1098-T i received said i paid $48 in tuition. so i call the school & ask tell the girl that someone made a mistake because i paid more then that in tuition. so she pulls up my information & say, 'Oh, do you know why they made that mistake?'
