Unless it were an actual beach cermony, I would wear shoes. But I also have a thing about being barefoot and I don't like my feet getting dirty/yucky.
But hey, its YOUR wedding

Re: are shoes necessary???
I think your idea is absolutely wonderful! Go with it if it's how you envisioned your wedding day! I'm having a beach wedding and everyone keeps asking if I'm wearing flip flops and my bms are but I went for something else that I thought was more my vision and I'm thrilled :)

It's your wedding, so whatever you want...however you might change your mind (what if it god forbid rains...sorry to bring that up, just being realistic...), I would buy shoes just in case. Worse comes to worst you don't have to wear them...

I say do what you want. . it's your vision. . I think it's always good to keep in mind the wedding is about accentuating who you are. . so if you wanna be barefoot - do it!!

I would do what you want to do. Have a pair of flip flops or flats ready in case it's muddy or wet. I am getting married in a church, and I don't want to wear shoes... just ballet slippers. My mom has a heart attack everytime I say it, but it's true! No one even sees your shoes unless you lift your dress. PS. I love the foot jewelry you bought!

I honestly think that's beautiful..if that's how you want to do it..go for it.. you will be comfortable.. I wore 1 inch heels for my ceremony and what a waste..noone could see them...and at the reception i changed into my white skechers... and felt like i was wearing slippers!!!
I think you should have shoes that's my opinion on it...

Re: are shoes necessary???
I get freaked out when I'm not wearing shoes, because I feel like I never know what I'm actually stepping on.
However, if that's something you're OK with, then sure why not! I plan on wearing completely comfortable shoes because no one is going to see them.

Do what YOU want!
Just be aware if you are wearing flip flops you wont have any support. I would almost get white keds.

What about wearing white ballet flats instead of going barefoot. It saves you in case you step on a sharp rock or anything. And they are super comfy!

I think that's perfectly fine as long as you have an aisle runner depending on how clean the grounds are maintained. Also, you don't want to get athlete's foot or toe fungus. I love walking barefoot myself when I'm at home. On public grounds and outdoors, I would be a bit wary just to be on the safe side.

its your wedding, so go for it if you want.
the one thing i'll say is to have shoes on hand in case it rains the night before and the lawn is muddy.
