Are soap favors tacky? I need an opinion....
I don't want figurines (too 80's) lol. I wanted cookies or cupcakes but FH made the ugliest face when I told him....then I thought shot glasses but then I made an ugly face when I really thought about that one....and I saw these cute little packaged soap leaves (WE MIGHT HAVE A FALL WEDDING) and he liked them. Is that took plain or tacky???? pleez help...

I don't think they're tacky at all. I do think that most of the people will not use them though. I know I would throw it out if I got it... sorry

We have a few different ones picked out and I think I should order one each to see how they smell first. We are having a hard time agreeing on other favors so for now atleast we agreed on soap. I emailed The Sugar Chic this week and they told me they would send me samples so I can't wait to see what those are like (even if FH looked like this
when I showed him)

See I thought that cookies or cupcakes would atleast make someone happy but he disagreed. Before you go throwing out soap samples ...how about putting them out in the bathroom sink when guests come over??? lol...for decoration though since I'm not sure they are good enough to wash with.

i would definitely order one first and see how they smell... cause some smell really horrible and fall apart as soon as you try to use them !!

I think ...no correction...I HOPE they would use them just to decorate the bathroom or something....I mean I have sensitive skin so I can only imagine trying to use one of these 'favors' to bathe...

honestly, like 95% of the details that brides plan and worry about and spend good $$ on get thrown out by some guests... I'm the worst offender of this... I toss invites, placecard holders, favors, pretty much everything...
but to the OP...
i don't think it's tacky at all, sounds cute and goes with your theme... don't worry about people throwing them away, because some people will and some people won't... do whatever you like and don't worry about other people...

Thank you...sounds like I should give out something thats recycleable then since it will most likely end up in the garbage...lol...anyway you are right...I will do what makes me happy!

It's not tacky but it is missing something, maybe do a mini gift bath/shower set similar to Bath & Body Works- like include soap, body spray, candles, exfoliating bath gels/bubble bath, lotion. That way the guests have a variety of things not just one item.

IMO, i would use it as maybe a shower favor as oopose to a wedding favor. i personally wouldnt use it and i would probably toss it.

I would suggest doing something else, if you're looking for something less expensive maybe edible favors are better
