Are these necessary

Is anyone buying personalized napkins and matches? I was considering it but was wondering if it is REALLY all that necessary?

I don't think I've ever heard anyone express disappointment that they didn't get personalized napkins with which to wipe the food off their face or on which to put their drinks.

Nothing is necessary except you, your FH, and a person to marry you. All the rest are details.

I am doing it because they will be printed with the USMC logo for my Marine@! we wanted touches of a military wedding, but not the entire wedding, that was a nice way to include it.

That said, I am ordering matches--because I personally like them...

That's a good idea.

I considered personalized stirrers, but I didn't want a ton of personalized stuff, so I am jsut having the favor ribbon & the programs personalized. I thought it would be over kill, with matches & napkins & stirrers.

My parents did it 30 years ago. I've been to several recent weddings, NONE of them have done it.

ETA: If you like them, find out the price and weigh the pros and cons. I'm going to price them, but I think it'll be an easy way to cut corners, I don't think anyone will notice they're missing!
