Re: are u guys including VH for your reception?
We had one. DH really really wanted it. I personally didn't, but since it was his wedding too and I negotiated a good price I went for it. Everything was yummy and the guests all seemed to enjoy the heck out of it.

I preferred to have a more additions to the cocktail hour rather than the dessert... we couldnt have all the add ons we had at cocktail hour AND the VH, so I opted for the CH additions. We also didnt want to take up time from the dancing and adding another hour (with the band and photo and video) would have been too much
Personal peference... But we did have a candy buffet for guests on the way out and if I would have known /thought about it, I would have done Ralphs Italian Ices-a cart also

We didn't have a full hour but we had a display and coridial bar and it went over big....At first I was going to cancel it thinking people would be too full..OMG the line was huge and people loved it
I am not a fan of a full VH bc I feel it takes away from the dancing and festivities. Those who are just starting to let loose and have fun now have to be told to go and eat multiple desserts. Its just wasnt for me. I had 3 desserts plated at each seat, so if you wanted to eat you could, if you wanted to dance you could, etc.
What Kathleen did however is really the best of both worlds. She did a dessert and cordial area, off to the side of her ballroom which was nice bc it didnt interfere with the wedding festivities going on in the center of the room. It worked well bc while there were many people on line getting yummy treats (myself and DH included ) We also went to the bar and danced a lot as well.

so far we are deciding maybe we shouldn'yt do it even though its yummy we might add something else
We're not having the viennese hour. Our hall wants an additional $12 per person for it, which in our eyes is just not worth it. WCC is providing is with a wedding cake and one desert of our choice, plus we're going to get the chocolate fountain - I think that's more than enough. After all the CH hour food, who can really eat that much desert anyway?!?

very true, but I love all the extra displays and they really do add alot of stuff. Icecream/cakes/strudels/ and much much more.

Oh I totally agree. You get a ton of food and you extend the festivities by an hour - it's great. If it were less $$ we would have definitely been interested, but all the additional fees are just not within our budget. But if you can afford it, why not go all out?!
