Why do I feel like some ppl on the forums are not actually brides????Has anyone ever felt this way????

And I think the fake ones generally don't have any personal pics up
I am very much real and don't have pictures up -- I know a lot of people read this board and I feel kind of weird posting pictures of me and FH. I do have other pictures up though.

The ones that I tend to think are fake have a wedding date in 2010, no hall or anything chosen, and like 5 posts... IMO anyway... those are the ones I'm suspicious of. And you actually talk about real things, not just fluff and then a reeealaallly detailed RAVE like some I've seen.

Out of curiosity though, why wouldn't you want people to know who you are? I don't care if people I know saw me on here, except for maybe my bridesmaids b/c I don't want them to see the gifts I'm getting them lol.

I'm sure anyone I know IRL can figure out it's me based on my less common wedding date and BM dresses + the fact that I'm a law student.
I'm just creeped out by the idea of putting too much personal info out on the internet on a site any random person can read.

It happens. Some are easy to spot, but the ones that have 2000 posts and interact with you are horrible. You feel violated. It happens mor ethen you would think both here and on LIF. Some people post lots of pics and info others don't feel comfortable. I think if you use your best judgement you can see through some. There are some right now I about. Don't let it get you down. This is awsome and more people here are real then fake.

i definately agree that there are alotttt more real brides than fakes... I think there are those that are just obsessed with the bridal industry and those that are trying to pass as brides but are vendors.. Thanks ladies for sharing your thoughts and concerns..

I don't think I've ever posted a 'rave' because I'm not married yet and my vendors haven't really done their jobs yet.
I have had some BAD experiences (bridal shops, travel agent, etc) but I never name names.
BRAVO!!! Many of us find it quite obnoxious how soooo many brides rant or rave about vendors they haven't used yet!!

there are some lonely people out there and they feel like this is the way to get the attention they crave...is it the best way? absolutely not...but to them i guess they feel like its the only way
