Are you choosing or are they?

Re: Are you choosing or are they?
My dad picked what he liked. DHs dad got the same color tie as my dad but just cause he liked it, not cause I told him he had to.
Re: Are you choosing or are they?
We are letting our dad's pick. They most likely will be getting a color that goes with our mother's dresses.
Re: Are you choosing or are they?
I was planning on the dads wearing the same colored vests as the wedding party...are they supposed to be different?
Re: Are you choosing or are they?
tiggeruth...there's no rule (well, i'm sure someone could find a book that says there is...) exactly...but it is nice to keep it simple...i would suggest both dads have the same colors so that at the very least, it appears that the dads are matching each other...and the GM are matching each other, like the BMs are all matching.
Re: Are you choosing or are they?
CLMon7906- Thanks- my plan was all men related to the wearing a tux would match, there are too many things to worry about to have to pick seperate colors for the dads.
Re: Are you choosing or are they?
DH wore a white vest and tie, the GM and our dads wore black.
Re: Are you choosing or are they?
none of the above - they can wear whatever they want to wear, whatever color they want, etc. No guidelines, really. In fact, they wear just nice suits if they really want, but they probably won't. It really doesn't matter to me - a tux is a tux, and will look just fine with all the other tuxes. They will certainly have the option to coordinate with the groomsmen, but they don't have to. Since my dad already owns a tux, he'll probably just wear that, and FH's dad is free to do whatever he wants.
