Omg, I can't believe how rude and selfish she's being!!!!!!!! I completely understand financial difficulties, but you gave her 18 months to come up with the $$!!!!! She knew she was OOT and would have to stay in a hotel, why is this happening all of a sudden?? And over email, that's completely ridiculous!!!!

I swear, instead of sending out 'will you be my BM?' cards we should ask them to sign a contract!!!!!!

Is there any way you can loan her the $$ to pay for the hotel and then she can pay you back a little at a time?? So sorry to hear about this!!!!!

I can understand money being tight, but geez, that's ridiculous with 8 weeks to go. You have every right to be upset and you're right, you really do know who your friends are now. Just remember those that will be there, love you and wish you all the best.

I wish I could pay for her room, but that's just not possible. We're already paying for the entire wedding ourselves. Plus, our entire BP is from OOT. Everyone has money issues. How can I pick just one person to help?

Plus, many of the girls decided to come without their husbands and crash in a room together. So it wasn't that much.

I like the contract idea for the BP to sign!!!

I'm so sorry! 8 weeks is unacceptable. I was upset when one of my BMs had to drop out due to a conflict, but that was over a year before the wedding.

The first thing that my mom told me when we started planning was that we'll find out who's really wishing us well. She was soooo right. In the last 3 months we've lost 2 bridesmaids(one of which is my first cousin), a groomsman, and a flower girl (who is FH's niece). I feel your pain

She said it was for financial reasons. That's what they all said to us. Obviously 18 months didn't give them enough time to save money.
