Are you getting fake nails on your wedding day?

I normally hate getting tips (creates difficulty putting contacts in!).

I was thinking I should get tips for the wedding since it would be prettier in pictures.

Are you getting tips?

Do you normally wear tips or just for the wedding?

I am going to get the silk wraps...they look alot more like real nails than the fake ones or tips.

Those are your real nails, they are nice and big and look really healthy. I have like 2-3 nails that are big and the rest are really short, hehe looks kinda silly but I always get regular manicures so they can at least look pretty even though they are diff lengths. I agree when I have nail polish on my nails stay hard and wont break as much as when if I dont have polish on

I did...

and this is comign from someone who bites her nails incessantly!!! I am the biggest tool with tips.. i don't know what it's like to have nails.... but they looked so pretty in the pictures....especiallly the shots of us holding hands or my ring....

im getting fake nails done, i hate having long nails, so they will be pretty short. but i think they will make the pictures look nice, especially since im sure the photographer will take a pic of your ring and your husbands together ya know

My nails will not grow no matter what I do, so I'm having short tips put on before my epics and may try to keep them on til after the wedding. I have so many events coming up and I want pretty nails to go with my pretty ring!

I've had fake nails for FOREVER!! I am keeping them for the wedding.

My nails do grow under neath the fake nail, but I love that they are super strong- I just can't deal with not having super strong nails.

As for putting in contacts, it just takes some getting used. Put the contact a little further down your finger and it works well. The first time I ever got tips, a long long time ago, I remember that I hate buttoning things and picking a wedgie but now I can do both of things just perfectly fine

To me, I just like the way fake nails look. There are a ton of options now too, not just acrylic. You can get UV gel ones, or tips with silk wrap (what I do). Definitely look into it. Good luck.

I'm not getting fake nails for the wedding. I can't get used to them and I just prefer short manicured nails.

I'm getting them. I wear them on occassion, but that's about it. I do LOVE having them on though :) I am good at putting my contacts in with them on now......but at first, I kept poking my eyes out!!!!

You can think I'm the strangest woman for never having worn fake nails...well except messing around as a little kid with Lee Press-On Nails!

Reason being, I play the piano (pretty much for a living now that I teach!) and it's just not comfortable to me. But...I hate my hands and I really should dress them up.

What should I do? Just get a manicure without the fake tips? Or is there something else I can do?

I started getting UV gel nails a few months ago, and I them! They're a great compromise between real nails and tips or wraps.

I'm really hard on my nails at work, get glue and all kinds of other gunk stuck to them, and it comes right off.

Its nearly impossible to chip them! So I'll probably get them done a couple of days before the wedding

I am getting tips. Although I stopped biting my nails about a month and a half ago my nails are still pretty weak and will not look nice in pics.

Luckily I get it from my mom, she has beautiful natural nails, she keeps them in better condition than I do lol...Ill let my nails grow long and they'll be nice for a bit, but then they'll start breaking so gotta cut them and then wait a few weeks for them to grow back then break again and just do this over and over lol.

My nails are usually very long and people always think they are fake....but for some reason they have not been growing lately I'm going to try to grow them..but I also like the way permanent French tips look in pics

my real nails are wrapped with a thin layer of acrylic and I do gel french so my nials never break. They look very natural too

Go for the tips and then you will have them for your HM-they will look pretty for years to come in your wedding pics!

I had the UV gel french tips put on for the day of. I think they looked great and natural.

I bite my nails, so I cant grow them and just paint them, so I have to get tips. but I also am allergic to nail polish, So Im going to get gel nails and get them airbrushed with the french manicure
