Are you going to, or did you invite your officiant to reception??

I can't figure out if I'm supposed to invite my rabbi to our reception. I don't even know if he's married or where he lives, so would have to mail it to the temple.

What did you girls do?

we did, but he was also DH's step sisters husbands cousin and he came out from Ohio to do the wedding for us on the arm

We invited the priest and deacon... They're family friends. The priest couldn't make it but the deacon and his wife came. I don't think ure obligated to invite the officiant.

I think so because during his sermons, our priest sometimes talks about how much he likes food! LOL He's a funny guy. I think he would really enjoy it, and I think our guests would really like talking with him.

We are inviting our officiant..She is a very nice woman who knows the fellow who is singing and playing the guitar...I figure they can sit together... I am paying both, but feel they are giving up their Sat and a meal would be nice for them to have..I would understand if they want to leave after eating but they seem like fun people and may just join the party.
