to elaborate, we'll probably be there for about half. we're taking pictures before the ceremony since 1 hour isnt really enough time, and we have to see eachother first anyway to sign the ketubah
we'll spend some time in the bridal suite immediately after the ceremony (it's called the yihud -- the bride and groom are supposed to have some time away from everyone to let it all sink in and im sure in the ancient times to comsummate the marriage ) but we'll be relaxing, and the bridal attendant will be bringing us food from the CH so we can eat without having to go to the stations or try to eat off tiny little plates.
then we'll go down and mingle for a while, and then leave a little early with our parents and the bridal party to get ready for our entrance into the reception.
FH has never been to a NY wedding and I wouldn't want him to miss out on the CH, and I want to be there myself!

I'm definitely heading down to the CH probably with the last 30 mins left. i'm paying for it, i'm going to enjoy it all!!!
I agree, I'm thinking we'll go for half and get half of our greetings out of the way.

We will prob go to some of it. I really want to hear the acoustic guitarist we hired to play for the CH, and enjoy all the food.

I'm not. I'm staying up in the suite. Being downstairs before they annouce us will only slow us down..I want to enjoy all the food and drinks!! Probably the only time I will really get to eat! Plus I will have all my family and close friends up there so I am set! I think FH is going to go down..we all know it's about the bride! I refuse to go!!!...LOL
Same here... I am staying the suite and I think FH might make a trip down to the cocktail hour.

I also agree, we will relax probably for about 15-20 minutes then join everyone at the cocktail hour.

We went to half of it! ... The first half we took the formals... but the 2nd half we went in and got to say our hellos and well DH got to eat! lol It was the best decision we made! Plus DH was excited that he got to take shots out of the luge with my brothers and his friends
