Are you guys bringing your own toasting flutes, cake knife, etc?

Just wondering how many of you are buying your own toasting flutes for the wedding or cake knives, things like that? Is this something we really *need* to get or is it optional? Thanks!!

I think its optional!!
I brought my own toasting flutes and the cake knife/server b/c I registered for and got them as gifts for my bridal shower.

I really didn't care if I got the cake cutter & server but I really wanted those swarovski toasting flutes!

We are bringing them but only b/c my mom and sisters got lenox ones for us for our engagement. I think it's optional.

I really didn't care if I got the cake cutter & server but I really wanted those swarovski toasting flutes!

We got the free toasting flutes from crate and barrel when we registered so we will bring those. I have to ask the caterer if he has a cake server b/c we did not register for any. I am fine with using what ever they have available. If we had not gotten the set from crate and barrel I think we would have used what ever they gave us.

We're using what the winery is providing us. They're definitely optional.

my cousin gave me the Waterford Lismore cake stand and cake server as a shower gift.

She mentioned that I could use the knife at the wedding. So, my aunt (her mom) brought it to the reception and then brought it home that night. I didn't feel comfortable dropping it off with everything else.

I registered for waterford crystal flutes and got them for my shower, i fell in love with them and put them on the registry as a splurge. I wasn't going to get a cake cutting set because no one really sees it, but as a gift my FBIL bought us a Tiffany set.

we are bring ours- our flutes are ones that fH bought me for christmas last year after he proposed so its sentimental

i think im just going to go but any old cake cutter set cause at my wedding will be the only time i use it

It's definitely optional. We registered for toasting flutes and cake knives and if we get them, we'll use them, but if we don't, I don't think we're going to go out and buy our own.
