Mom and I were discussing the relative merits of having a guest book. I hadn't thought about doing one until I started seeing some postings on here and on WeddingChannel. Mom said she'd never actually been to a wedding that had one.
Wondering what you all were doing...are you going to have one? Why or why not?
Thanks!

I don't believe I am doing a guest sign in book, but rather the 'Wish Bowl'. I got the idea from the board. It is very cute and just think people will be more creative with it and not just put down a name. I want they to write on a piece of paper some words of wisdom and advice to a happy marriage.

The wish bowl is different, but what do you do with the papers after you read them all?

No guest book for me, it will lay in the closet afterwards, platters are really nice ideas.

Buttafli ~ most people put them all into an album after reading 'em. it would be the same as storing your cards in an album.

We're doing the signing frame. We're doing 2 - 1 for our BP & everyone at the RD to sign on (& we'll put a pic of our BP in that 1) & then 1 for everyone else to sign at the reception. I got a great deal on them at Michael's! 16x20 frame holding an 8x10 pic.
I think we'll get more/better use outta the frames. I know if we do a guestbook it'll end up in storage. & I'm a klutz so I'm scared to get a plate cuz I know I'll break it!

I love the platter idea! I'll have to look into it. I wasn't planning on doing anything...
