Are you having a money bag/mailbox/other kind of box...why?

My mom wants me to have a money bag.....I think thats old fashioned. What are you using and why?? Do you think a money bag is no good?

I am using a birdcage. I think it looks pretty! I am not having the guests deposit the money into the birdcage because I think that is rude. I myself am going to collet the envelopes and then just put them in the birdcage for safekeeping.

We completely forgot about this aspect of the wedding ended up slipping them into a gift bag we got a present in and had it all stashed under out table!!

I have the cake box from Lillian Vernon. I having one of those types of holders because unfortunately I've heard horror stories about the money bag 'walking'away during the reception. A birdcage, cakebox, mailbox is much harder to slip out the door with.

We're having a white birdcage too. We chose that because we love birds -- have 4 as pets. It will be placed on the head table, and if people want to just drop them in, they can, but we will also try and see everyone and thank everyone if we can.

We had a wedding cake cardholder. We also collected the envelopes and put them in the cardholder. I had bought a moneybag - but really liked the wedding cake holder instead.

I think I'll be using the wedding cake also. I just think its so pretty.

I had a shawl with my dress that I knew I wouldn't use, so my MIL made a purse and moneybag out of it. I didn't carry it around though, I just collected the cards and then put it in my bag at the table. Personally, I don't like bird cages at all. I think the Lillian Vernon gift box was a neat thing also.

I am having a mailbox. I was going to use a real mailbox that FI's grandfather had made but it might be to heavy to try to decorate so I might go out and get a plastic one.

We are using a moneybag, easy to carry/stash at our table.

I'm having a money bag because I've heard horror stories about people walking off with the cards. If I don't hold the bag, my mom or moh will hold it.
