I am using a card box..i bought a white packing box from Office Max cut a long rectangular hole in the top and wrapped it with white satin glued together with fabric glue. Then I just glued some beads and appliques to fancy it up a bit. I think all together it probably cost like 5 bucks! I didn't want to take envelopes from everyone, so I was hoping they could deposit them when they are signing the guest book!

I also have an extra Lillian Vernon Cake box . . . I am using it, but they messed up on the personalization, so I had to get a new one (forgot to send the old one back - yes I was having a senior moment at a young age )
The only bad thing is that there are snap buttons on it for the personalized ribbon to go onto, and since that won't be there, they would have to be covered up.

I used a mailbox. I thought that a money bag would be a bit burdensome.
For some reason, when my friend had a bird cage at his wedding, it made me think of bird poop.
And, my husband's cousin made a beautiful mailbox that she lets all of the women borrow whenever there's a shower or a wedding. So, I got to borrow it for the wedding

I have the cake box from Lillian Vernon. I having one of those types of holders because unfortunately I've heard horror stories about the money bag 'walking'away during the reception. A birdcage, cakebox, mailbox is much harder to slip out the door with.
