I keep going back and forth and I really need to make a final decision soon. There are around 15 people in my dept. I am friendly with everyone- probably close with two or three. I def. cannot invite all and really don't want to anyway. I am wondering if I should just not invite anyone. There is a new person who has just started that I really like. We are becoming friends. But I can't really invite her without inviting people that I have known longer- I know it's my wedding and I should be able to invite whomever- but I really don't want to hurt feelings.
The other thing is I plan to leave here in June to start my teaching career. So there is a part of me that says who cares- I won't see these people anyway. I know that there are a couple of people who expect to be invited- I don't know what to do.

My boss wantys to come, but in a month she won't be my boss anymore. I now don't know if I want to invite her.

I invited 9 people from my job (which equals 18 people) FH invited 15 people from work (which is 30 people)
That's a lot of work people! So far no one has said no yet

I am but lucky for me I in a small office with only 3 other girls and my boss. and one of the other girls is my moh. ( sister)

This is one I really struggle with.
I think I am inviting my two immediate supervisors and the friend who actually got me the job. It's hard because we too are a small close knot group of 15 and i love everyone!! I just can't add 30 people to the guest list, especially when I know I am moving in 8 months and will probably never see them again.
I do think there will be some hurt feelings, especially from the girls my age eat lunch with and share laughs with.
It's just another one of those 'things' that comes with the joys of throwing a wedding!

Touchy subject here.....everyday our guest list changes because of it. If you want to vent, FM me, 'cause I really have no idea what to do. For now, I have a bunch on my 'B' list...

no not inviting no one from my office, I have been on Short term disability and not one has called to see if I am alive so no they are not worth it.
As For FH sure, about 5 which means about 10 who are close to him and they are very nice to me.

Yes, some. I'm in the opposite situation of most. My original guest list (family and close friends) was 84 but the only places I liked had minimums of 100 so yes, I originally wasn't planning on it but it's to fulfill my minimum.

I DON'T KNOW!!!! I am so confused about this. I think I may invite the girl I share my office with, and maybe my Director. We will see.....I (luckily) have some time to think about it.

i'm in chicago, and i was thinking of posting an invitation for the whole unit (i work in a hospital). not everyone would come since the wedding is so far away in ny and plus it's a holiday weekend... good idea or not?
