Are you inviting your boss- Even if you don't like him/her? Please share your thoughts on this.
ETA- I have 2. I report direcrtly to both-don't like one of them. I like who they report to. I know if I invite one I should invite the others. I work for a huge company and in a huge department. I can't and won't invite them all and have to be very careful how I handle.
Someone else on the team got married last year and everyone had soemthing to say about who she chose to invite. There is another team member getting married in May -I'll see how this one goes. I work in a very political place and don't want this to bite me in end later on. Most imprtantly I dont want to be uncomfortable on my wedding day

I'm a student, so I don't have a boss, but my FH is inviting is. He feels obligated to b/c he is inviting a few other colleagues from work. He is not thrilled about it..

Sorry about that first empty post. I am a teacher and no one at work invites the principal to weddings because supposedly it just isn't done, if you work in a school. Unless you are exceptionally close to you principal. I am definitely not close with him, so therefore absolutely not!!!!!

I am inviting mine...she is also doing our ceremony! (She is a marriage officer)

Definitely. My lead sits right next to me and listens to all my phone and work conversations (and I his, hehe), and there hasn't been day where he hasn't known everything going on in my life for the last 3 years. As for FHs boss--that's a big definite! We go out to happy hour with him and his wife and go to his kids birthday parties! They're not just bosses, they're friends!
