Are you inviting your boss- Even if you don't like him/her? Please share your thoughts on this.
ETA- I have 2. I report direcrtly to both-don't like one of them. I like who they report to. I know if I invite one I should invite the others. I work for a huge company and in a huge department. I can't and won't invite them all and have to be very careful how I handle.
Someone else on the team got married last year and everyone had soemthing to say about who she chose to invite. There is another team member getting married in May -I'll see how this one goes. I work in a very political place and don't want this to bite me in end later on. Most imprtantly I dont want to be uncomfortable on my wedding day

I am inviting my boss. I have worked for him for 4 years and he is a nice guy. He had the stupidest grin on his face when he found out I was engaged. He is really happy for me and I want people like that to come to my wedding.

I am inviting my bosses and some other VPs in the department. They all listen to me talk about my wedding all day long and I get along well with them and I think they would want to come!

FH and I were just discussing this issue. I am really confused as to how I should handle the people at work and my boss when it comes to invites. I think I may just not invite anyone from the office and blame it on budget. I don't want to hurt people's feelings and I have no idea how I would decide who gets invited and who doesn't.

I am inviting her, only cause i have a small office(6 people) and I want everyone but her to come I can't give everyone else an invitation and not her. She is a horrible person, work and personality!!

I am inviting my boss, I've worked with him for a looooong time (about 12 years!) and really have a good relationship with him. He was thrilled when i got engaged, more than I expected (and more than some other people I THOUGHT would be thrilled! LOL!)
Funny enough, I am getting married just blocks away from where he lives, in Centerport!!! Go figure!?!?

I have to. I'm very good friends with the top person in our office (my boss' boss' boss) and I can't invite someone that high up, and skip over my own boss.

As of right now, no. I like to keep my professional and personal lives separate. Plus, I haven't been working here that long, so I have that as an excuse - I don't really know my boss THAT well. But I'm really confused about this...

Funny you should ask....... Originally I wasn't planning on inviting my immediate bosses (that's because i had just started this job and didn't see the point) but now that my invitations are going out next month i had a change of heart. I am planning on inviting them knowing that the chances of them attending are slim but i didn't want to feel rude and what not. If they come then all the better, if not then it's not a big loss to me.
ETS: I am inviting my old boss who i worked with for 8 years and am still in contact with.

Me too. I like everyone else, and the thought of someone at my wedding who has supposedly talked s*it about me makes me very uncomfortable. Im not sure what Im going to do.

Yes, I work for a very large company, but in a very small office, of only 7 people including myself. I kind of feel as if I have to invite them all.
I love my boss and all of my co-workers! I dont think 2 of them will come but I am inviting them anyway.

Definitely not. FH and I work for the same boss and once he told me that he thought our relationship was 'bizarre'. I definitely don't want someone like that at our WEDDING! What an idiot.
We probably won't invite anyone from work.

FI and I work for the same large company in different departments and are friendly with a lot of people. We could not possibly invite everyone and I would feel terrible inviting just a few co-workers. So we decided to invite just our bosses. I still feel bad, just don't see any other option. I just hope everyone understands!
